Westexe Forklifts Ltd was formed in 2007 by Greg Vooght, Nicki Podbery and Alex Dix, with a sole aim to provide a highly skilled professional service, whilst still maintaining a personal, friendly approach. With more years in the materials handling industry than we each care to remember, we knew that each and every customer has different needs which enabled us to provide a unique service within the industry by offering tailor-made solutions.
This company ethos has been fundamental in the rapid growth and success of the business, and having established itself as one of the South West's leading forklift companies, Westexe has continued to grow from strength to strength and are now recognised nationally within the industry. Committed to offering consistently high standards, Westexe have been successful in securing dealerships with industry leading brands including Doosan Infracore, STILL and Hako. These flourishing partnerships have enabled Westexe to secure a wide range of quality business customers throughout the region, supplying superior, dependable products that combine outstanding performance with great value.
As a direct result of customer feedback, Westexe introduced a number of subsidiary operations designed to complement the existing forklift business. Under the banner of The Westexe Group; Heavy Hire, Westexe Storage, Industrial Floor Cleaners and Mercury Driver Training were formed with each now being a success in their own right.
Managing Director, Nicki Dix comments "It's hard to believe where we have come in ten years, from humble beginnings in our little Portacabin with four staff, to becoming one of the region's leading materials handling specialists. The secret to our success is undoubtedly the people that we have had with us along the way, many of which have been with us since day one, including our Service Manager Dean Turvey. We have also been very lucky to partner with like-minded suppliers who have played a significant role in our success and we would like to thank them for their support over the past 10 years."
2016 was a landmark year for Westexe as we moved into our new purpose-built Head Office, which together with three other strategically placed depots in Plymouth, Truro and Barnstable, means that we are able to offer a rapid response service to all of our customers throughout Devon and neighbouring counties. Employing a Skilled team of 44, including 18 field service engineers and 4 mobile workshop engineers, enables us to operate a structured, efficient service to all our satisfied clients.
